Carbide and Carbon Building

This Art Deco skyscraper was designed as the regional office of Union Carbide and Carbon Company. The 37-story, 503 feet (153 m) building was finished in 1929 and landmarked in 1994. In 2004 it was converted to a hotel named Hard Rock Hotel Chicago which was later closed and reopened again as the St. Jane Chicago Hotel.
